Cookie Policy
Last Updated: 27 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Platform AI Cloud uses cookies and similar technologies on the website at platformaicloud.digital. It describes what cookies are, why we use them, what specific cookies are set, and how you can manage your preferences. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, to remember preferences, and to provide information about how the site is being used. Cookies are stored on your device by your web browser and sent back to the originating website on subsequent visits.
Cookies are not programs and cannot execute code. They cannot carry viruses or install malware. They are a standard part of web technology and are used by virtually all websites. Some cookies expire when you close your browser (session cookies), while others remain on your device for a defined period (persistent cookies).
How We Use Cookies on This Site
Platform AI Cloud uses cookies sparingly and only for purposes that are necessary or functionally useful for operating this website. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, to track you across other websites, or to sell data to third parties. The cookies we set are described in detail in the sections below.
We distinguish between cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to function (which do not require your consent under applicable law) and cookies that serve optional purposes (which require your explicit consent before they are set).
Essential Cookies
The pac_consent cookie is strictly necessary for the operation of the cookie consent mechanism. Without it, the consent banner would appear on every page load, which would be disruptive to the user experience. This cookie stores only a value indicating whether consent was accepted or declined. It does not contain any personally identifiable information.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and equivalent guidance in Japan, as they are required for the legitimate operation of the website. You may disable these cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may affect the functionality of the site.
Functional Cookies
At present, Platform AI Cloud does not set any functional cookies beyond the essential consent cookie described above. Functional cookies would be used to remember preferences such as language selection or form field values. If we introduce functional cookies in the future, this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested where required.
Analytics Cookies
Platform AI Cloud does not currently use analytics cookies or any third-party analytics services that set cookies on this website. We do not use Google Analytics, Hotjar, Mixpanel, or similar tools on this site. If we introduce analytics in the future, we will update this policy, present the relevant information in the cookie consent interface, and request your explicit consent before any analytics cookies are set.
Third-Party Cookies
The contact page of this website includes a Google Maps iframe to display our office location in Ginza, Tokyo. When the Google Maps iframe loads, Google may set cookies on your device in accordance with Google's own cookie policy. These cookies are set by a third party (Google LLC) and are outside the direct control of Platform AI Cloud. We recommend reviewing Google's privacy and cookie policies at policies.google.com if you have concerns about cookies set by the Maps embed.
Other than the Google Maps embed, this website does not load any third-party scripts, fonts (fonts are loaded from Google Fonts via a preload mechanism), or services that set cookies. The Font Awesome icon library and Splide carousel library used on this site are loaded from CDN providers but do not set cookies.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can manage cookies in several ways. The cookie consent interface on this website allows you to review and adjust your preference at any time. You can also control cookies through your web browser settings. All major browsers provide options to view, delete, and block cookies. The steps for doing so vary by browser:
Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
Mozilla Firefox: Options > Privacy and Security > Cookies and Site Data
Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data
Please note that blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of this and other websites you visit. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the cookie consent preference from being saved, which means the consent banner will reappear on each visit.
To reset your consent preference for this website specifically, you can delete the pac_consent cookie through your browser's cookie management interface. The consent banner will reappear on your next visit.
Consent Mechanism
When you first visit this website, a cookie consent card is displayed at the bottom center of the screen. This card explains that we use cookies and provides two options: Accept (which accepts all cookies as described in this policy) and Settings (which opens a more detailed panel where you can review cookie categories). Your choice is recorded in the pac_consent cookie.
Consent is valid for 365 days from the date it is given. After this period, the consent banner will reappear. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time by deleting the pac_consent cookie or by using the settings option in the consent interface.
For optional cookie categories (currently none are active), consent is required before those cookies are set. Strictly necessary cookies are set regardless of consent status, as described in the Essential Cookies section above.
Legal Framework
Our use of cookies is governed by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (個人情報の保護に関する法律, APPI) as amended, the Telecommunications Business Act (電気通信事業法) which addresses user tracking in Japan, and guidance issued by the Personal Information Protection Commission (PPC). Japan's approach to cookie consent focuses on transparency and user notification rather than requiring opt-in consent for all cookies. However, we have implemented a consent mechanism that goes beyond the minimum required by Japanese law, reflecting our commitment to transparent data practices.
Updates to This Policy
This Cookie Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes in applicable law, or changes in our practices. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent revision was made. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Material changes to this policy will be communicated through the cookie consent interface on your next visit to the site.
